Republic Day 65th Year

 

In India, Republic Day is celebrated every year on 26th January. 

What is it for, any ideas? Well let me explain shortly, the Constitution of India came into force on 26th January, 1950, this Constitution was passed by Constituent Assembly of India on 26th November, 1949. The Constitution of India replaced the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India. This led our country on the path of becoming independent republic adopting a democratic government system. So this is what we celebrate.
